late again

Today is just a day for being late. Late for my blog, and late for my first class of a new semester! I'm back at ASU, and parking without a permit is a nightmare. The joys of being a transfer student continue!
But enough about the stressful things, and onto things I'm thankful for.



21. actually finding a spot to park - twice.

22. not getting a parking citation when my parking meter expired

23. having classes that won't be so boring and/or easy I doodle and nap my way through them

24. sitting next to at least one friendly person

25. getting to spend time with my twin this weekend

26. having fun making a sugary mess while frosting cookies

27. a pocket full of quarters

28. a plan to thwart ASU's plan for me & class piano

29. finding more packing boxes today

30. my wonderful mother and father

31. mom letting me word-vomit to her on the phone

32. dad installing my new stereo

33. dad giving me some extra gas in the tank

34. sister's encouraging texts while at school

35. a good text to wake up to

36. slowly working through the remains of my pantry without having to go grocery shopping before I move

37. people who will help me move!

38. a reminder from my mom that God is in control of even the tiniest details in my life, and that stress isn't worth it

39. my crazy students

Well, it's been a hot minute since we've been here, hasn't it? More like a hot almost-half-a-decade. How embarassing. Live, blog, live again! I am here to resuscitate you! And I'm impressed with myself for spelling that right on the first try, because I haven't had to type anything at all in so long. Or write. Being a mom of two tiny toddlers is a good way to make you lose all the skills you thought you'd mastered (like speaking in complete sentences and using a pencil) and making you competent in a lot of new categories, like "maintaining a soft voice and pleastant expression while repeating yourself ad nauseum" and "picking up 50 noodles one by one off the floor because the broom would just smear them everywhere." Day 3: My First Love

I was home, eating dinner, and done with my homework by 8 pm tonight! Delight! This means I can actually sit down, relax, and take some time to blog before studying, and I might actually get to sleep at a decent hour. I've got my steaming mug of creamy hot cocoa and a package of ho-hos, I'm good to go! I admit that today's blogging challenge left me quite perplexed. My first love? What on earth will I write about? There are so many answers! This is largely due to the limitations of the English language (which I mentioned in point #3 a few days ago), which allows us to use "love" for all manner of things and dilute its meaning. Yes, there are more options than exist for "sorry," but culture dictates that rather than saying, "I really enjoy, delight in, like, find charming," etc, we say, "I love it!" So, I started thinking. My First Menu Plan

I'm really rather anxious to start a new blog, now that I'm all married and stuff.  A grown up, big girl, married woman blog.  Where I talk about how great life is with my husband as we learn to smush two lives into one, and do domesticky things like post my menu plans and talk about budgeting and making my house a home and whatnot.  And occasionally still ramble on nonsensically and make up words. Really, though, JW and I are quite happy, and the point of this post is to post my menu plan.  It's a thing I'm attempting - as well as very moderate couponing.  And by that, I mean actually using coupons.  No extreme couponing here.  The only reason I'm posting this is it gives me a way to keep myself accountable by having it out there, and I can link to recipes if necessary.
